Weather Chaser Vehicle
Frontline Communications’ weather chasers are built to perform in all weather conditions so you can keep your community safe and informed. Built on a full or mid-sized SUV or pickup truck chassis, these rugged vehicles pack a lot of technology inside including weather monitoring systems, Frontline Communications’ Live&Drive™ camera systems with two, three, or four cameras, large articulating rear monitors for live stand up shots, and multiple transmission systems.
Live Trucks
Frontline Communications developed and introduced some of the first microwave and satellite live news vehicles in the 1980’s, and today, Frontline Communications is still a leader in live truck innovations. The Frontline Communications' VIP® power system, Live&Drive™ switchable dual dash camera system, and low-profile FastMast system were developed by Frontline Communications and are now industry standards. The latest Frontline vehicles such as SUV and pickup truck weather chasers, triple-path vehicles (microwave/satellite/cellular), and CENG (cellular electronic news gathering) vehicles are all being used at television stations throughout the country.
Production Truck and Trailer
Frontline Communications’ TV production trucks and production trailers are designed and manufactured as mobile production suites. Our Electronic Field Production (EFP) and Outside Broadcast (OB) trucks and trailers include the critical technical features and equipment found in fixed production facilities and are available in platforms ranging from Ford Transit and Sprinter Vans, self-propelled units up to 45’, and trailers up to 53’. Our EFP/OB mobile video production trucks come with several platforms and custom floor plan options to meet your needs, and engineering services are available to design layouts from 2 to 30 operators.

Small Mobile Command
Operational missions sometimes call for quick deployment and nimble action best provided by a compact mobile command vehicle. Frontline Communications’ reliable emergency response vehicles are highly customizable and provide robust, high-performing communication proficiencies for aerial surveillance, active shooter response, hostage negotiations, crime scene investigations, HAZMAT incidents, and weather crises. Our mobile communications vehicles are easily maneuverable, rapidly responsive, and mission critical.
Mid-Size Mobile Command
Frontline Communications' mid-size mobile command vehicles range in lengths from 25’ to 35’ and provide the space and maneuverability your agency requires to fulfill the most demanding missions. Our mid-size emergency response vehicles with a 2×4 or 4×4 drivetrain and advanced technology are designed to provide a versatile platform for first responders. Frontline Communications’ mid-size mobile communications vehicles include available features such as slide-outs, customized equipment racks, multiple workstations, whiteboard wall surfaces, lavatory, galley, and ample storage.
Large Mobile Command
Frontline Communications’ large mobile command vehicles range in sizes from 35’ self-propelled units to 53’ trailers and are meticulously designed to replicate an agency’s emergency operation center with advanced technology and communications capabilities. Providing up to 800 square feet of operations space, the Frontline Communications' C-40X-4 platform can accommodate a large conference room and numerous workstations. A commander’s aid station is built into a slide out in the conference room to control video inputs and communications streams for use by the incident team.
CRU-22 Mobile Command
A robust, high-performing communications unit for aerial surveillance, active shooter response, hostage negotiations, crime scene and arson investigations, HAZMAT incidents and weather crises. The CRU-22 integrates the latest emergency response communications packages on a rugged Ford Transit T350 High Roof Extended chassis. The CRU-22 is equipped with a 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 engine and powered by the award-winning, 8kW patented Frontline Communications VIP® power system with 12V and 120V power.
